The Sirena Expedition v1.08 is now live!


Hello! It's been a while, but I've just pushed a new update. The major addition this time is a checkpoint system, and there are a few more bug fixes, as detailed below.

  • The new Checkpoint system creates checkpoints based on your game state at 6 points in the game. This is intended to be a fallback in the case that you lose progress due to a bug or forgetting to save, as well as allowing you to explore earlier parts of the game a bit easier once you've completed it.
  • The Checkpoint system will also create any checkpoints you havent passed through; this will only be relevant if you already have a save game prior to v1.08's release. If you do, you can load it up and continue playing, and once you reach the next relevant checkpoint, that will be created based on the current game state, whereas all prior checkpoints will be created with a generic game state. If you have already completed the game, and have a save game from that, loading it up and then exiting will be enough to create all six checkpoints.
  • Fixed the ridiculous issue where the bubbles on the Bathysphere at the start of the game would only play once, and if you started the game again you wouldn't get any bubbles.
  • Fixed the issue where certain bits of audio (mainly on horror events) weren't being affected by the sound effects volume, so they would be a lot louder than other sounds.
  • Made the sound effects for the eye that appears on the wall in one of the corridors much less abrasive.
  • A couple of other minor bug fixes.

Thanks again for your support! I've got maybe one or two updates before I'm calling the game done (outside of bug-fixes for any issues that might come up).
